Wednesday Jul 29, 2020
Wednesday Jul 29, 2020
Remember destination weddings? If your mind can go back that far, this episode will be a treat for you. We talked to Shonte Tepper Alce, a new bride that got married in Mexico last December and wedding destination planner of Just Book It Travel. This was... like the best wedding we'd ever heard of and we weren't even there. Shonte is a travel agent so she knew how to coordinate her trip for her entire crew -- but y'all, you gotta hear how they customized so. many. elements. of this wedding!

It has been a while since we spoke to a fiancee! We had the chance to talk to Nashville lifestyle influencer Ramia Joy about her recent engagement (that occurred the weekend the majority of the U.S. shut down to due to COVID-19) and how she's been basking in fiancee life. She was such a pleasure to talk to and has a sweet spirit! She talked to us about her fiance and how their relationship came to be. This is a great, great listen!

41. Getting Perfect Candid Wedding Photos with Misha Wynn
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
Misha Wynn from Lavishly Lux Studio talked to us about the benefits of amazing, candid photos. You know how sometimes we love a good staged photo. No, that's boring. Get a photographer that is a fly on the wall and captures those moments as they occurred.

Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Eloping is not a last minute option or something to be ashamed of. We talked with the wonderful elopement officiant Jennifer Allen of Just Elope, LLC about the stigma of elopements, how COVID-19 is changing that thought, the differences between eloping, going to the courthouse and micro/pop-up weddings, and a lot more. Jennifer told us about her own wedding stories and we're hoping she gets her dream wedding one day soon!

We finally got to chat with the lovely wedding planner Irene Tyndale of Irene Tyndale Events on the show! Many brides like Ashleigh are having to make hard decisions about their weddings due to the coronavirus pandemic and the lack of government oversight to reduce cases. Irene shared with us ideas that other summer, fall and winter brides can do to create a wonderful day this year and later. Postponements, elopements, micro weddings and more are all discussed in this episode.

38. From Attorney to Bride to Wedding Planner with Cara Davis Little
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Cara was truly the perfect guest to talk to as her story evolves from her own wedding day (and she gives us all the deets of her GORGEOUS day) + how that evolved into her business as a wedding planner/coordinator. Oh, and she's also a full time attorney so you know your contracts won't be screwed up. This was a good full episode, but sooo worth the listen.

The last few weeks have been... emotionally interesting to say the least. After the death of George Floyd and subsequent protests, the Black community has received an overwhelming display of support, solidarity, and empathy. This has trickled into the wedding industry where a lot of mainstream brands have showed their interest into Black wedding vendors and weddings in general. We talked with wedding planner Tiffanie McCoy from Bird of Paradise Events, bridal concierge/stylist Candace Darby from The Cocoa Bride, and floral designer Leneille Moon from Special Event Factory about how their businesses have been impacted by this newfound attention, how to continue to capitalize off of it, and how long we all assume it'll last.

We met Lundyn Carter, the co-owner of Laine London through one of Ashleigh's coworkers. When we found out about her story and her bridal gown rental brick and mortar, we were blown away. Lundyn chatted with us about the bridal gown shopping process, why Laine London is a better solution to the wedding aesthetic, and breaking down the stigma that comes with rentals.
